'LNG bunkering training for port communities' successfully completed in Stockholm
'LNG bunkering training for port communities' within the LNG in BSP II project was held on 28th October in Ports of Stockholm.
Training scope was developed by the Baltic Ports Organization and introduction was given by Mr. Emil Arolski, Project Manager, BPO.
Theoretical sessions were presented by Ms. Cecilia Gabrielii, Lecturer, PhD, Chalmers University of Technology and Ms. Ulrika Roupe, Project Manager, SSPA Sweden
The goal of the scheme was to increase knowledge about LNG bunkering within Project Partnering Ports, port community and thus facilitate and stimulate use of LNG as a fuel for ships.
Practical Sessions dedicated to the ‘LNG bunkering methods in the ports’ and ‘Organising the whole LNG bunkering process’ took place on AGA SeaGas Bunkering vessel.
Mr. Jonas Åkermark, and Karl-Lennart, AGA Gas AB, managed the practical session with additional ‘Truck to Ship’ LNG bunkering performed at the end of the course.
LNG training scheme was well attended by various LNG representatives from the port communities in Stockholm, Trelleborg, Helsingborg and Sundsvall.
